The rumors are that there will be no true successor for N150.
Instead of that, there will be a cut down variant of Panther Lake, named Wildcat Lake, with 2 P-cores and 4 E-cores.
That will clearly have a much better performance than N150, including a much better Xe3 GPU, but it seems very unlikely that Intel will sell it at the low prices that made the N-series so attractive.
I assume that Wildcat Lake will be priced similarly to N350, so it will be available in computers closer in price to $300 than to the $100 that can get you an N100 or N150 computer.

I completely agree, got an N100 minipc server at home myself which replaced an rpi 4. Fantastic value.
My point is Intel's accountants have a history of seeing 'fantastic value' as 'margins too low', which reduces the margin of error in engineering to ~0.
N100/N150 (unintentionally?) fueled a Cambrian explosion in mini PCs. It needs a few more years of OEM experimentation with form factors and ISV software stacks to identify new vertical markets, before trying to harvest high margin segments. It's too early and too successful to abandon the category now.
it is a part that you really wouldn't want to make if you could avoid it. given the ~120 pricepoint for a whole system the CPU is probably only ~$30. I'm glad it exists, but it's hard to imagine they're making money on it
If it's got 2 P-cores, it would be more like an updated core 3 100u, it'll likely have 20 rather than 9 pcie lanes, dual channel ram, thunderbolt, etc, and be priced like the nuc 15 pro, around $400.
